Date night

I was suppose to do a blog yesterday, however, my wireless router is having issues: AGAIN. Most days it's lightning fast and days like yesterday and today, it's extremely difficult to connect on the web- no connection, dropping connection, can't find a network... blah blah blah. So, I finally connected my laptop directly to the modem even if I have to sit on the floor to do this. I think, I missed 2 days of blogging because of this nonsense.

Without further ado, here is my little, independent, 15 month old girl. For some odd reason, she hates having any kind of hair accessory placed by mommy dearest. She'll place her little hand on her head desperately searching for the cute little pigtails I placed just seconds ago so that she can slowly pull the rubber bands off- looking at me while she does it. Sometimes, I can distract her while I put them on and she forgets about them for about 5 minutes and then they're gone.

2 days ago (Thursday), I decided to put a small, fabric covered button clippie on her hair. She didn't really fight to get it off. Instead, she calmly waited until I was done placing on her hair and then took them off. I did this about 3 times until I held her hands all the way to her car seat so she wouldn't touch it. I finally get in the car and I could see her hands searching for the clippie. I just gave up. I look back again after about 15 minutes of driving and to my surprise, it was back on her hair and it stayed there for another 20 minutes.

That same day, hubby decided that he wanted to watch a movie. Fair enough since the last movie we saw in the theaters was................. um.... hmm.. wait... uh, ok, we can't remember. Plus, we were dying to see the second Transformers movie. The boys had seen it with their aunt a day after the movie came out. She offered to take us too but we declined. Don't get me wrong, we would've loved to go with the boys that evening but it was way too late for the baby and we didn't have a sitter planned. So, off we went to the mall to see Transformers! I have to admit, it was a pretty good show.. too much lovey dovey stuff for an action packed, dude flick.

After the movie, we ended up having a mini date night. Aunt Cheryll graciously agreed to watch baby girl and even suggested that she sleep over. We did think about the sleepover idea but we do miss her when she's not around, so we decided to have an hour of unwinding. We decided to go to a bar called Pinky's. It's patrons are military personnel with a handful of locals. Luckily, we arrived 15 min. before they closed and managed to have a drink. We talked, we laughed, we had fun. Ah, the dating days............

Till next time...
