Rediscover

Today was the first time we went to the beach since the boys left for Kansas. It was soo

hot and muggy. We started our day with a couple of errands in town. We try not to drive to

town so much since we hate sitting in traffic, especially when my air conditioning does not

cooperate well in traffic. Instead of staying cool, it actually gets warm!

We went to Kaimana Beach Park which is just a 5-10 min. drive from our house (the joys of living on an island). It was high tide around 4:30pm which brought seaweed up on the shores. It was cool and refreshing!! What a break from the muggy and sticky feeling! Rachel was excited to get in the water.

The air was starting to cool and even though Rachel wanted to stay in the water longer, she was shivering. Her usually rose colored lips were starting to give a hint of blue.. She clung to daddy, trying to get warm.

We decided to end the beach adventure short due to the need for warmth by the little princess. Besides, it was getting close to dinner time and I still had to prepare. It went quite well and we can't wait to get back to the ocean. There are only so much more days of summer left where the water temperature is just right. Until next time!
