I think I might be creating a Starbucks addict and adding her to the millions across the globe, who flock daily to satisfy their caffeine cravings. Well, I am starting her off easy- an order of kid's milk. Next she'll move on to hot cocoa like her cousins. And soon, she'll have a tall, nonfat, no whip, iced mocha latte with an extra shot of espresso!!!! AACCCKKK!!
Well, never mind that. I'm sure I can wean her from it.. as long as I don't make that right turn before the freeway, she'll be spared. Or am I just needing to wean myself? Ok, it's not like I'm there every single day.. wait, I just remembered, I DO buy a starbucks drink almost everyday from 7-11! I am drinking one right now! Maybe I shouldn't talk about this...
Anyway, I did promise Rachel that I will take her to the park. Again, she missed her nap (I think she's doing this on purpose) and was a bit crabby in the afternoon. We stopped at Starbucks to kill some time so that we can miss the 5:00 traffic jam coming into our one way in, one way out little town. We finally get to the park and she was ecstatic! We did a few runs on the slide and she walked up and down 3 little steps (0ne of her favorite things to do). Finally, it was time to get home because I was cutting it close to dinner time and daddy was on his way home. The day ended great with a big smile and a hug from my little one. Don't they just melt your heart??Till next time!!
P.S. We did miss the traffic coming back home. I wonder what would've happened if I didn't stop at Starbucks?? Hmmmm... we'll never know ;0)
Awwwwwwwww...look at that happy face! :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the Starbucks...when I had one by my work, my checking statements said debit withdrawal Starbucks, Starbucks, Starbucks, Starbucks...LOL. Sometimes I would be in there 3 or 4 times a day :O (hangs head in shame) But they closed.
So I've been weaning myself. I do have maybe one small glass bottle of frappuccino to wake up for the traffic to work. I know I'm recycling WAY less of those bottles, hopefully soon I'll be COLD TURKEY (again!!) (I've done it before, using Minute Maid orange juice bottles as a substitute for the folic acid.) I know I can do it again :)
I know!! 5 bucks here and there comes up to so much at the end of the month!! I haven't been there since I took Rachel to the park.. so I'm doing good so far. lol
