I've been staying up late for the past couple of nights because I am either sewing or watching chick flicks on my computer. So, pardon my laziness, I haven't been really doing this daily.
About a week ago, our neighbor "Uncle John" gave us some coconuts from his tree and today, we decided to open them up to see how Rachel likes them. Here's Daddy, trying to get the coconut open.
Rachel was a bit grouchy (that seems to be the trend lately) this afternoon, but a with gentle invite, she was in for the treat. Here she is, sharing a drink with Daddy.
And another one with mommy. Rachel has a thing for straws; if she sees one, she'd want to use it with her sippy cup. The coconut juice was cool and refreshing, perfect for a hot and rather muggy day.

With a little help from the machete, Daddy opened the coconut so we can get right to the meat. Yummy!!! Till next time :)
I'm grouchy too. I need to get me some coconut milk :D
